Shoreline Wellness and Primary Care in Berlin, Maryland is a locally, women owned comprehensive primary care and wellness practice that provides our patients with quality preventative care and management of acute and chronic conditions. Our practice is dedicated to providing our patients with the care, support, and resources they need to achieve their optimal health and wellbeing.
Our team stays up to date with the latest techniques and research to provide our patients with the best care possible. We believe in the value of preventative care and work closely with our patients to develop personalized wellness plans that promote healthy habits, stress reduction, and disease prevention.
Our providers have extensive medical background and experience and are equipped to help you manage both acute and chronic conditions. At Shoreline Wellness and Primary Care, our patients are more than just a number. Melissa Emmerich MSN, RN
Chief Operations Officer, CEO
Melissa has tremendous experience in healthcare ranging from critical care to pediatrics and rehabilitation. Melissa is also founder and CEO of SeaRenity IV Hydration, a local mobile hydration company.
Melissa Youtz MSN, CRNP, FNP, ENP
Primary Care Provider
Medical Director
Melissa is a graduate of Millersville University as a Family Nurse Practitioner and completed post-master’s studies to obtain board certification as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She has extensive experience working in the Emergency Department for over 16 years. Additionally, she has experience as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiothoracic surgery, urgent care and has worked at the academic level as a professor in the Nurse Practitioner Program at Millersville University before relocating to the Eastern Shore. In Primary Care, she is eager to cultivate trusting relationships with her patients while working cohesively on preventative care and treatment of chronic illnesses. Melissa enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family and 3 dogs; Oliver, Lucy and Benny!
Amanda Prather PA-C, BHS
Primary Care Provider
Amanda Prather is an experienced Physician Assistant who graduated with honors from Jefferson University. With 9 years of emergency medicine experience Amanda has an extensive medical knowledge base and is experienced in treating a vast range of chronic and acute conditions. Between her own personal experience and working in the emergency department Amanda brings with her the unique ability to help patients navigate the complicated health care world and takes pride in advocating for her patients. Amanda understands the burden medical conditions can have on someone’s life and is passionate about providing patients and their families the tools and knowledge they need to manage their conditions and improve their quality of life. In primary care Amanda is excited to create long term relationships with her patients while providing preventive care as well as management of acute and chronic conditions. In her free time, Amanda devotes her time to her two young children and husband. They enjoy time together at the pool, going for boat rides, and camping.
Jackie Somoskey BSN, RN
Aesthetic Registered Nurse
Jackie is originally from Connecticut and brings with her over 15 years of nursing experience. Jackie earned her bachelors in nursing from URI and Western CT State University and spent 10 years as a trauma nurse in Danbury, CT. After, she joined Grace Medical Aesthetics as a laser nurse and trained under a nationally ranked injector in Southbury CT. Jackie's commitment shows in her dedication to learning the most current treatment modalities. She attended national aesthetic conferences in both Vegas and Florida, Coolsculpt University in VA, and trainings at NYLO aesthetics in NYC. Later, Jackie and her family moved to Berlin MD where she gained experience as a Director of Nursing and surgical nursing. Jackie is not only providing care in our primary care office but also is our aesthetic nurse injector! She is now accepting new patients for botox, fillers, PRP, and all your other wellness needs! While not at Shoreline, you may run into Jackie doing IVs for Searenity IV hydration, or spending time with her husband, Corey and 3 kids, Addison, Ryan, and Dylan.
Beth Ann Wells BSN, RN
Registered Nurse
Beth Ann is an experienced emergency department nurse with over 40 years experience in emergency medicine. She began her career at Tidal Health in Salisbury Maryland in 1983 before working 20 years at University of Maryland's Adult Medical Emergency Department in Baltimore, a leading provider of emergency care providing initial assessment and stabilization of acute patients from both the local and transferred patients from surrounding areas. She ended her emergency medicine career at Atlantic General Hospital Emergency Department. Now working at Shoreline, Beth Ann is looking forward to establishing long term relationships with her patients and assisting them in the management of all aspects of their health care needs. Beth Ann loves the beach, cooking, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends.
Luke Wood CNA
Certified Nursing Assistant
Luke has been working in healthcare for the past 13 years. He obtained his Certified Nursing Assistant Certification in 2010. He has experience in home health care, the Neuro and Stoke unit, as well as the Emergency Department. Luke also worked as a former EMT-B. Luke is proficient in labs draws and IV insertion, and will be offering his expertise for onsite lab work. He also works as an IV technician for SeaRenity IV Hydration. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and 4 cats.
Nikia Lawrence
Office Coordinator
Nikia has worked in the medical field for 14 years and is proficient in customer service. She has an Associates of Applied Science in Computer Network support and brings several years of knowledge in registration, insurance verification and is experienced in navigating the health system for patient information and transfers as needed. In her spare time she enjoys reading and spending time with her 5 wonderful children and family.
